1. Acceptance of these Terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Rx101 mobile application ("Rx101", "the App") and the website at rx101direct.com ("the Site"), developed and operated by an individual developer based in India ("we", "us", "the developer"). By downloading, installing, or using Rx101, or by browsing the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the App or Site.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 14 years old to create an account and agree to these Terms on your own behalf. If you are under the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, you confirm that a parent or guardian is aware of and permits your use of Rx101. If you are managing medicines for a minor who is not creating their own account (e.g. a young child), you do so as their parent or guardian through a family profile under your own adult account — see Section 12.
3. The service
Rx101 helps you organize prescriptions, medicines, reminders, and personal health records, and offers optional features like AI-assisted scanning, encrypted cloud backup, family profiles, prescriber-to-patient sharing (Rx Direct), travel-related medicine guidance (Fly Mode), and an optional connection to your phone's health platform (Apple Health or Health Connect). Rx101 is a personal organization tool. It is not a hospital information system, a pharmacy, or a healthcare provider.
Rx101 may occasionally invite you to answer a short, optional in-app survey to help us improve the app. Some surveys ask health-related questions (such as how you've been feeling or whether you've had a recent symptom); where they do, we tell you before you begin. Taking part is entirely voluntary — you can dismiss any survey, and you never have to answer to keep using Rx101. Survey answers are collected anonymously and are not linked to your account; a response may include only your age and birth month (never your name or date of birth), and everything is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
4. Not medical advice — please read this
Rx101 is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. It is a reminder and record-keeping tool. Always verify medicine names, doses, and timings against the original prescription or your pharmacist/doctor before taking any medication — including anything read by AI scanning or received via Rx Direct.
Never disregard professional medical advice, or delay seeking it, because of something you saw in Rx101. In a medical emergency, call your local emergency number immediately — do not rely on the App.
AI-assisted reading, banned-medicine data, food/interaction information, and any measurement imported from a connected health app or wearable are provided for convenience and may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. You are responsible for confirming this information before acting on it. Readings brought in from Apple Health or Health Connect are not medical-grade and must not be used to diagnose a condition or to decide whether to take a medicine — see Section 8.
5. Accounts & Guest Mode
You can use Rx101 without an account, as a Guest — in that mode, nothing is synced or backed up, and data lives only on that device. If you sign in with Google or Apple, you're responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.
6. Your content, your responsibility
You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the medicines, doses, schedules, diagnoses, and other information you enter or confirm in Rx101 — including anything extracted by AI scanning, which you must review and confirm before it's saved. Family profile data you add for another person is your responsibility to keep accurate and to have the right to add.
7. AI-assisted features
AI-assisted scanning sends the specific photo you choose to scan to a third-party AI provider (Google Gemini or Anthropic Claude) for that one request, either through our quota-limited free proxy or your own API key. Free-tier usage is subject to a monthly quota that may change. AI extraction can make mistakes — you must review and confirm every field before it's saved to your records. We are not liable for harm resulting from unverified AI output; see Sections 16–17.
8. Connected health apps & devices
Rx101 can optionally read activity and health measurements from Apple Health (HealthKit) on iOS or Health Connect on Android, so they appear alongside the vitals you record yourself. Connecting is your choice, you grant each type of data separately, and you can revoke access at any time in your device settings. Rx101 only reads from these platforms — it never writes to them and never alters what they hold.
Readings imported this way come from consumer devices, not medical instruments. A phone, watch, ring or home monitor can be inaccurate, uncalibrated, worn incorrectly, or simply wrong, and readings may arrive late, incomplete, or duplicated depending on the platform and the other apps writing to it. Do not use imported readings to diagnose a condition, to decide whether to take a medicine, or to change a dose. Treat them as a rough record only, and confirm anything that matters with your doctor using a proper clinical measurement.
We do not control Apple Health, Health Connect, or the devices and apps that write into them, and we are not responsible for the accuracy, availability, or completeness of the data they provide. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms. How imported readings are stored and protected is described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Rx Direct
Rx Direct lets a prescriber transmit a signed prescription to a patient's device via QR code or link. We provide the relay connecting sender and recipient; we do not verify the identity, licensure, or accuracy of information provided by the sender. Recipients should independently confirm any prescription received through Rx Direct with their prescriber or pharmacist.
10. Backups
Cloud backup, when enabled, uploads an end-to-end encrypted copy of your data to your own Google Drive or iCloud account — never ours. We have no access to that data and cannot recover it for you. You are responsible for maintaining access to your cloud account and any credentials needed to restore a backup. We are not liable for data loss resulting from loss of access to your own cloud account, device, or credentials.
11. Fly Mode & banned-medicine information
Fly Mode and related country-specific medicine restriction data are provided for general guidance only, may not be current or complete for every country, and are not a substitute for checking with the relevant embassy, customs authority, or your prescriber before travelling with medication.
12. Family profiles
As the account holder, you are responsible for all family profiles created under your account, including obtaining any consent required to manage another person's health information (such as a spouse, parent, or child) within Rx101.
13. Pricing, purchases & sponsorship
Rx101 is free to use. AI prescription scanning includes a set number of free scans each month. If you want more, you may optionally buy “scan credits” — a bundle of additional AI scans that do not expire — on our website at rx101direct.com. Credits are tied to your account and are consumed only after your free monthly scans are used up. You may also make a voluntary one-time donation, which grants no credits and buys no feature; it simply helps keep the app free.
These optional purchases are made and paid for on our website through a third-party payment processor (Razorpay), not inside the mobile app. All prices are shown before you pay. Except where required by law, payments for credits and donations are non-refundable; unused credits carry no cash value and are non-transferable. We may change prices or bundles from time to time, and any change applies only to purchases made after it takes effect.
Rx101 may display an occasional sponsor message inside the app, clearly marked as sponsored. Sponsorships are sold by us directly to health-adjacent businesses and are a paid placement only — not an endorsement, recommendation, or medical advice, and you should not treat a sponsor's presence as a suggestion to use any product or service. Sponsor content is the same for every user and is not targeted using your data, and we share no personal or health data with sponsors. See our Privacy Policy for how this works.
14. Referral program
Rx101 may let you invite friends with a personal referral link or code. When someone joins Rx101 for the first time using your code, they receive free scan credits, and you receive scan credits of your own once they complete their first AI scan. The exact amounts, and any monthly limit on how many referral rewards you can earn, are shown in the app and may change over time.
Referral rewards are scan credits only. Like other credits, they have no cash value, are non-transferable, cannot be exchanged for money, and are consumed only after your free monthly scans are used up. Referrals require a real signed-in account (Google or Apple); Guest Mode users cannot send or claim referral rewards.
The program is for inviting genuine new users. You may not refer yourself, create fake or duplicate accounts, use bots or automated sign-ups, or otherwise attempt to obtain rewards you didn't legitimately earn. To keep things fair we apply safeguards — for example, one referral per person and per device, and a limited window after account creation in which a code can be applied. We may withhold, reduce, or reverse credits, and suspend or terminate accounts, for referral activity we reasonably believe is fraudulent, abusive, or in breach of these Terms. We may also change, suspend, or end the referral program at any time; any change applies only going forward.
15. Intellectual property
Rx101, the Site, their design, branding, and underlying code are owned by the developer and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain all rights to the personal data you enter into the App. We claim no ownership over your health records.
16. Disclaimer of warranties
Rx101 and the Site are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-assisted or reference data will be accurate or complete.
17. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any harm — including personal injury — arising from reliance on unverified AI-extracted data, missed or delayed reminders, data loss from a cloud account you control, or use of Rx101 in place of professional medical advice. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
18. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold the developer harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of Rx101, your violation of these Terms, or content you add for family profiles without proper authorization.
19. Termination
You may stop using Rx101 and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms, including misuse that risks the security or integrity of the service.
20. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as Rx101 evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective" date above and, where appropriate, an in-app notice. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
21. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
22. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be sent to hello@rx101direct.com — start the subject with "Feedback".
